WHY IMOLITES ARE SO PREDICTABLE

Just as I said in my comments after the gracious inauguration of Emeka Ihedioha as the new Governor of Imo State, the heat has already been turned on him by political commentators and social media ranters over dilapidated roads and nonpayment of pensioners.

Imolites and hurried expectations!

Before you ask what Ihedioha has done within two months in office, have you PRAYED for his success? We should all bear in mind that Imo was in total decay before Ihedioha came into government. This heavy load we have placed on his human head, don't you know he needs our collective prayers to deliver? Let us not heap salt on his head and follow him with heavy rain. Jesus needed prayers to accomplish God's will for him. Therefore, Governor Emeka Ihedioha needs our success prayers before our hurried expectations, because Imo State was thoroughly raped by Okorocha. If you have not prayed for him, do not complain or ask what he has done because prayer, proper thinking/planning are the keys right now in rebuilding the decayed and mortgaged Imo.

Apparently, all the political writers complaining right now were among those who joined Okorocha to keep us where we are today (jewe ejewe adighi mma, lawa alawa adighi mma). And majority of the civil servants complaining today were among those who saw the reckless Okorocha initially as a 'Messiah'. Therefore, we should allow the thinking Governor to gradually put everything in order because Okorocha put Imo into Janjaweed State before God and the masses sent him and his agburu out.

Without prejudice to all manner of political arguments and rantings directed at the New Governor over pensioners and poor road network, we need to be reasonable enough to know that there was no single motorable road in Imo State before he came in and as a matter of fact, we are in rainy season for crying out loud. He can not just come in and start paying everyone who comes around as a pensioner till there is thorough auditing on past records and proper documentation of the senior citizens for payment.

Arguments in our political history often serve as "stand ins" for more general controversies in our political theory. This new Government is simply a great opportunity to  give transparency, accountability standard road construction and quality infrastructural development a chance in Imo State.

MAY GOD BLESS IMO STATE!
