It is no more news that Okorocha has been fully exposed for what he really was and did as a Governor in Imo State. Well-meaning Imolites have cried enough and I sincerely believe we shall make Okorocha pay for all his deeds in due time. Like I always say, I have no proof as to whether he embezzled State fund or not, but what is clear to me is that Rochas Okorocha recklessly wasted the State resources during his eight years as a Governor. That is what happens in a government without plan and proper procedure. Lack of orderliness can only create room for waste. Orderliness is bread, while disorderliness is hunger.
When a leader boldly says that he abhors procedures, documents and signatures, proper budgeting, then his whims and caprices will become the measuring parameter in public administration. He will just wake up in the morning and starts molding all the presidents of the world and the so called Akachi Tower while the workers and pensioners are not paid.
He will be building 27 general hospitals that will turn into hideouts for criminals and wild animals when there is no road to the State University Teaching Hospital in Orlu. A lot of misplaced priorities because Rochas was everything. Running Imo State like a monarch. Okorocha's politics of Jack of all trade and master of none, created an enthusiasm which later resulted into an illusion.
His idea of road network appeared good and even rise to the development of new areas in the major towns and cities of the State, but "Wallahi" according to my Hausa friends, it was poorly executed. And that is what has remained in the memory of Imolites.
Okorocha created an impression that he wanted to turn Imo State into Las Vegas, but at the end he left more confusion and almost made Imo a politically janjaweed State where for the first time, election results could not be announced more than fours days after the elections.
As a demi-god he thought he was, former Governor Okorocha never believed he would not continue keeping Imo State to hostage by providing a successor. It is very unfortunate that Okorocha and most of his team totally raped Imo State without looking back. What a set of wicked, selfish and greedy people!
As EFCC is on the process of investigation for Imo looted fund and properties, I plead justice should be done for it to be a big lesson to every greedy leader.
As a political office holder, do not be too greedy and selfish that will turn your Lovers to be your Haters. Believe you me, majority of Okorocha's haters today were once his lovers. What really happened? Greed!
In short, volumes of a book should be published on the Rochas' administration. And the title will be: "Imo, From Weed To Janjaweed".
