At this juncture, Hon Roland read his address, which captures the sincere motive for the establishment of ICC and the need to move the state forward as a mobile, upward and proactive political pressure group in the state.

According to the State Coordinator, ICC was initially founded in South Africa in 2016 by Hon Amadichi Divine Chike as a vehicle for Imolites in the Diaspora with a view to liaise with the state government to bring the dividends of democracy to the people.

He further called on members, with particular focus on LGA Chairmen to be active and proactive in the discharge of their duties, considering the fact that they are closer to the grassroots. He maintained that should LGA Chairmen fail to Coordinate ICC well in their localities, the speedy growth of the organization would be hampered.

The state Coordinator further disclosed that in as much as the organization would not play opposition or act to be seen partisan, he added that the vision would be to serve as a watchdog on government to avoid allowing leaders go contrary to the precepts of egalitarian governance.

In reacting to his address, Mr. Ibe Innocent (ICC Chairman, Onuimo LGA), and Chief Martins Ikwugha (ICC Chairman, Orlu LGA) respectively commended the state Coordinator for his prompt desire to assembly members together with a viewing to checkmating the excesses of government in power, and ensures that proper advice is proffered to ameliorate those anomalies.

On the other hand, Dr. Emma Amaefule (ICC Chairman, Ihitte Uboma LGA) suggested that prior to the unveiling of ICC programs, there was need to established a centralized approach to pursue the goals of the organization to avoid different opinions that may not be healthy to the body. He further quarried to know if ICC was in partnership with the government, its missions and how to progress to achieve development.

Reacting, the state Coordinator said that ICC stands a better chance to enlighten the society on the need to be focus and steadfast on the manifestos of government, and to ensure that those promises (as it were) are seen to be fulfilled.

But at this juncture, Hon Uche Onuoha (ICC Chairman, Isu LGA) moved a motion that if ICC was formed to play the role of watchdog to government, there was need to set up a five man committee to fine tune the areas of concentration, as well as ensures that necessary programs including registration of the organization were carried soon.

His motion was supported by Mr Ibe Innocent (Chairman, Onuimo). He further suggested that to make the name of the organization known and popular in the public, there was need to embark on radical media hype on both electronics and print media. According to him, this will enable individuals in the rural areas to be aware and participate actively.

Meanwhile, Comrade Akuchie Stephen (ICC Chairman, Mbaitoli LGA) commended the state Coordinator on his achievements so far, advising the leadership to ensure that the organization is made to receive much presence on the internet and social media to boost her popularity.
He also suggested that before embarking on any state project, there was need to register ICC first, to avoid encountering any hiccup on the process.

Dr Emma Amaefule also suggested that since ICC has been in existence since three years, it would be nice for the leadership that piloted its affairs during the period under review to give comprehensive report on the achievements of the body to serve as a guide to its state and LGA chapters.

Prince Chibuzor Ashiegbu (ICC Chairman, Owerri West LGA) supported the suggestions of the two speakers above, adding that the state Coordinator should be strict to regulate the organization's watsapp platform to avoid individuals posting stories not related to the body thereby making ICC appears partisan.

The state Coordinator while responding told members that processes for the registration of ICC had commenced. He said that after visiting CAC and their promise to get back to him in two weeks time, he is yet to hear from them.

Having deliberated extensively, members unanimously resolved to set up a five man committee as moved by Hon Uche Onuoha to ensure the final registration of ICC, nominate patrons, and Matrons as well as other necessary projects of the organization as the case may be.
